I’m not the only one blogging onSheryl Crow’sPersonal War Against Toilet Paper And How It’s Really All A Joke (Hint: in the moonbat mindset we run everything up the flagpole in a serious manner. If it goes over well, it’s a proposal – if it doesn’t go over well, it was just a joke.)
And since I’m more entertained than I like to let on at the multitude of reactions – and the amount of airtime – society at large (and the blogging world in particular) is giving the ill-advised opinions of this particular member of the Bark-and-Flap-Brigade, I’m hereby dedicating today’s roundup and reading listto The Toilet Paper Wars:
Ferdy at The Conservative Cat has a sneak peek at some Sheryl Crow inspired toilet paper…
…though the Instapundit says the War on Toilet Paper is already lost.
Ann Althousehas a responseto Glenn Reynolds’ response to a reader’s response to the proposal that someone might end up “tarred” and feathered…
The Bull offers his thoughts on entertainers who think they should run the world, as well as the “one square per use” theory – along with a somewhat less than politically correct diagram. (It’s not obscene, but it definitely illustrates what’s at the bottom of the problem.)
Little Miss Chatterbox explains (1) why Crow’s suggestion just won’t work and (2) links to the Wikipedia article (”The Stall”) explaining the Seinfeld episode everyone is quoting in connection with the recent outbreak of Crow-Foot-In-Mouth-Disease.
According to Right Wing News, Crow’s suggestion wasn’t a joke – but it was more evidence that for the celebrity set “role modeling” means teaching others to “do as I say, ignore what I do.”
And last, but no means least: The Big Dog takes on both the toilet paper issue andCrow’s environmentalist campaign.
As a parting shot, I’ll point out – with some surprise – that no one has yet opted to discuss Ms. Crow’s apologetic statementsunder the title “Sheryl Eating Crow Over Paper Tiger”
