A Room of Your Own Thursday Roundup and OTP

Filed under: Random Observances — Random Yak @ 7:41 am on January 25, 2007

Thursday, January 25: “A Room ofYour Own Day.”

On the theory that a blog is effectively a virtual room ofyour own (in cyberspace, everyone can hear you scream), I thought I’d celebrate by letting everyone else scribble on the walls of mine.

Been pretty much afk (away from keys, for those who don’t speak geek) a few days recovering from another round with a bad back and a slipped disc (yeah, don’t get me started), so I thought I’d take a peek into some familiar rooms and see what’s going on around the blogroll this morning:

Adam points out that in the moonbat world, you should always attempt to regulate whatyou cannot dominate. Go read itat Adam’s Blog.

America’s third world county has been suffering an attack of global warming leading to lost power, water and other services. Normally, I’d help out by taking my purple crayon to the site in David’s absence, but I’ve been pretty much flat on my back – so I’m glad to see that he’s apparently back in fine form. This piece on Taking the Pledge iswell worth a read – and while you’re there, look around a bit.

The Big Dog points out that President Bush Did Not Mention Florida Hurricanes in the SOTU – nor did he mention Katrina – and someone isn’t pleased.

Fuzzilicious Thinking takes on punctuation, grammar and word choice at the Associated Press.

Captain Platypus is back. The explanation – in part of in full -at The Platypus Society.

This is also your open trackback post, from now until I put up another one. You know the drill. Have fun, keep it family friendly and I’ll link you in periodically.
