Celebrate the Circus Wednesday Roundup and OTP

Filed under: Random Linkfests, Random Observances — Random Yak @ 8:12 am on January 10, 2007

January 7-13 is official “Celebrate the Circus Week.” In light of this, I’m offering up the following circus-themed roundup, featuring highlights from the blogroll and just a little indication where they appear in the rings:

As Ringmaster: David from Third World County (who takes the top spot in part due to a sweeping victory in this week’s trivia contest)keeps an eagle eye on all thegoings-on at the National Circus in Washington, D.C. This week, we have an update on some potential (though not surprising) presidential hopefuls.

As the Untamed Lion: Ferdy the Conservative Cat, who offers up a cat’s eye view on the Gospels and the people who write about themin “Confused Americans for Truth: The Misunderstood Christian.”

As the Star of the Wild WestStunt Riders: Adam watches over politicsin the wild, wild, west – or at least what’s left of it in Idaho, over at Adam’s Blog. Thatmakes him closer to a cowboy than anything else I’ve got on the blogroll. Plus, he can do podcasting, which places him a few steps above the rest of us on the trick-riding scale. Check out his analysis of Governor Otter’s State of the State Address (which comments on issues of national, not just local, significance) – and while you’re at it, offer him a signoff catchphrase for his podcast.

Singing the National Anthem: Pet of Pet’s Garden Blog offers a regular feature calledWednesday Heroes which honors our fallen servicemen (and women) as the patriots and heroesthey are. Today’s post features a profile of Specialist Jordan William Hess.

As theGoat Tamer: basil of basil’s blog has a great story about goats. Well, it’s half about goats. This one you have to see for yourself.

I could go on, but let’s see how you do with thatreading list for now, and I’llbe back with more later in the week.

This is also your open trackback post, celebrating the circus of blogging from now until the next one takes off. Shamelessly trackposted to:
