Tolerance Week Midweek Open Trackback Post

Filed under: Random Linkfests, Random Observances — Random Yak @ 11:03 am on December 6, 2006

Yes, I’ve been busy – and I’m afraid I’ve neglected my duties as an open trackback host. I’d offer an apology, but it’s tolerance week, which to my understanding means you all have to accept me for who I am, faults and all, and tolerate any random silliness I attempt, manage or contemplate. After all, if you don’t, you’re intolerant, and we hate intolerant people, don’t we.

Since it’s tolerance week, I thought I’d offer a short list of things you must remember to tolerate (with a smile!) this week:

1. Hillary Clinton running for president. (Repeat after me: “there’s no place like home…there’s no place like home…” Nope. Still didn’t work.)

2. The guy at the office who always takes the last cup of coffee (Even if you really needed it. Even if he doesn’t drink it. Even if he leaves it overnight in the microwave.)

3. Babies on a plane. (Think snakes, but slightly less poisonous and a whole lot louder.)

4. Muzak versions of Christmas carols. (It’s beginning to sound a lot like bad music…)

5. Chrismahanukwanzakaa. (At least they’re equal opportunity blasphemers…)

6. The fact thatThe Random Yakwas nominated as a finalist for the Weblog Awards and will doubtless be insufferable about it for at least the next week. (You saw that coming, didn’t you?)

Consider this your Open trackback post, now until Friday night (Or longer if I forget to get another weekend OTP up. In fact, go for it until the next OTP shows up at Linkfest Haven – pinged to promote all the open trackback-y goodness.)
