October 16-22: “World Rainforest Week”
I don’t blog much about the rainforest, in part because Yaks are mountain-dwellers at heart, and the idea of steaming, algae-covered tropical paradises teeming with life (read: spiders, sloths and slimy things with more legs than I have) just doesn’t generally do it for me. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against the rainforest…it’s just not my preferred ecological niche. If you’re a sloth, I’m sure it’s wonderful, and I’m willing to let you keep it.
That said, I’m more than willing to take you on a tour of the blogging jungle andpoint out some of the more interesting species showing off their habits and behaviors this afternoon:
Sphynxus Pepperonicus: basil has pizza with the Sphynx.
Platypus Rex has a new announcement in the > Joel Stein Saga. And a new Dimmer Switch (Fellow coffee lovers will appreciate both the problem and the solution.)
Cat, Dogs and Bookworms: Bookworm Room offers a tale of a good dog (and a bad cat).
The Llamas spot someone doing Christmas shopping. (Maybe they’ll orgle their way over to the Alliance…)
Confederate Yankee has an update on the North Korean Definition of “Declaration of War” (ok, Confederate Yankee isn’t an animal, but I’m going with “the dogs of war” on this one).
Linked (of course) to the Mutant Evil Ratdogs OTP at Third World County.
This is your midweek OTP – Open trackbacks on this post from now until Thursday Night (Friday morning if I’m lazy). Linked to and promoted at Linkfest Haven.
