“Stale Spoons” Open Trackback Weekend

Filed under: Random Linkfests — Random Yak @ 8:45 pm on July 28, 2006

Earlier tonight Yak the Younger set the dinner table. He picked out forks and knives, set them on the table, and then remembered the spoons. Seeing two “leftover”spoons sitting on the table (unused silverware from last night’s dinner) he dutifully picked them up, placed them back in the silverware drawer, and removed three “new” spoons for the dinner table.

Kitchen Lesson Learned: cutlery can be “recrisped” for future use by returning it to the silverware drawer. Apparently the influence of the other spoons rendersit useable again.

OK, let’s see what the rest of you have going on. Open Trackbacks on this post now through Sunday night.

Pinged to the Conservative Cat and Linkfest Haven.

I haven??t written anything about marital bliss in a while. Not that there isn??t anything to write. I live with my Beloved Curmudgeon who is a veritable potpourri of writing material. Good writing material, of course [he does read this]….

  3. Oh my word, that cracked me up. “re-crisping”…. that was funny. Your child seems to be similar to his yak parent. Good minds think alike. Have a great weekend – and I appear to be winning in Random Cluster #4 with Blogs of Summer. YEHAW.

  4. One lunatic in Seattle?…

This is probably the story of one lone nutcase. The US has had a history of these as does every area of the world. Does that make a society all bad?

Read this post of mine before answering that question…

  5. “Gay” Fraud…

I don???t have any animus toward gay people, but I do very much resent homosexuals attempting to co-opt gaity as their own exclusive province. I am about as completely heterosexual as can be imagined (and I have a very vivid and fecund imagination), ye…

  6. Now all YtY needs to do (simply to save steps, ya know) is graduate to “virtual re-crisping” and _mentally_ return unused silverware to the drawer and _virtually_ re-crisp them.

Of course, since he needed 3 spoons this time and had only 2, that wouldn’t have helped… this time.

Waiting to see how this open tb post for TRY goes. Also awaiting any Yak-ish observations on the post I tb-ed… *heh*

  9. I think he definitely takes after someone I know well. And yes, from the mirror. I engage in the “virtual re-crisping” myself, though I think for the sake of what little pride I have left I won’t explicate.

Congrats on pole position in cluster 4, Gena – let’s hope you keep it. I’ll head over to Renny’s blog and do my part.
