July 15 was official “Toss away the ‘could haves’ and the ’should haves’ day.” In belated honor of the occasion, I’ve gone through my “to do” list and decided to toss out the following
Random List of Tossed-Out Things I Could Have Done:
1. I could have been a contender. (Actually, no, no I couldn’t. *toss*)
2. I could have had a V-8! (Truth be told, I can’t stand tomato juice in any form. *toss*)
3. I could have grown up to be President (Not after starting this blog, I couldn’t. *toss*)
4. I could have eaten the last bowl of ice cream (ok, this one I did do…but I couldn’t do it again because there isn’t any more. *toss*)
5. I could have watched where I was going (but then again, why start now? *toss*)
6. I could have paid attention. (Sorry, what was I saying? *toss*)
7. I could have decided to write a serious, thoughtful political or news blog in order to add something of value to the global conversation. (Who am I kidding. It’s all about the naked luge. *toss*)
Don’t know about you, but I’m feeling an awful lot better with all of that baggage tossed away. Feel free to toss some of your own.
